Patrons familiar with Hollywood Casino were in for a big surprise with the new i.o. Bar. Replacing the gift shop, the i.o Bar creates an instantly inviting and fun atmosphere for customers the moment they enter the casino. Right away, they feel like they are a part of the action.
CHALLENGES
Penn National Gaming engaged Lehman Daman to demolish the gift shop at the entrance of Hollywood Casino to build a new S shaped bar in its place. To accomplish this, Lehman Daman had to work in one of the most heavily trafficked areas of the casino while maintaining the safety of casino patrons and employees, all without disrupting the casino’s operations (which are open 24/7). Additionally, new plumbing had to be installed to support the bar, requiring the piping to be routed through one of the Casino’s data rooms. This required additional measures to ensure that any leaks from these pipes in the future are detected immediately to prevent data loss.
Lehman Daman successfully navigated these challenges to deliver the inviting new space Penn National Gaming needed to boost the vibrancy of Hollywood Casino in Columbus.
