Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP | Downtown Columbus

OVERVIEW

With their current lease ending, Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP was looking for a bigger, client-ready office. Hines secured Taft as a tenant in the Huntington Center, a 37-story multi-tenant office building in downtown Columbus. Lehman Daman was hired to build out the 18th, 19th, and 22nd floors that Taft would occupy.

CHALLENGES

Furniture selection and placement plays a major role in determining power and utility needs for a given space. Taft had a firm move-in date, but their decision to change furniture vendors during construction threatened the timeline of the project. L/D worked collaboratively with Hines, Taft, architect, engineer, and IT/Data vendors to figure out where power and data needed to be located in relation to the new furnishings.

L/D’s adaptability and communication got Taft their Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) two days ahead of schedule. L/D continues to work with Hines and other tenants in the Huntington Center to buildout their spaces.
