Arts & College Preparatory Academy (ACPA)
OVERVIEW
After a positive experience with Lehman Daman on their 19,000 SF ground-up middle school addition, The Arts & College Preparatory Academy (ACPA) engaged Lehman Daman to complete a kitchen buildout before the start of the 2021 school year.
CHALLENGES
For years, ACPA had been hiring local catering companies to provide breakfast and hot lunches to students. Seeking to offer better, healthier options to students, ACPA wanted to expand their facility to include an onsite kitchen to provide meals in-house.
ACPA had a firm completion date but faced long lead times on kitchen equipment. By facilitating communication between the kitchen designer, ACPA, and suppliers, Lehman Daman helped guide purchasing decisions and the purchasing timeline to ensure the kitchen was operational for the start of the school year
L/D completed the project on time and on budget. The L/D Service Division has continued to serve the ACPA facilities team on an as-needed basis.
