OVERVIEW

Horizon Science Academy Columbus Primary School, a charter school for grades K-2, needed more space for students and staff. Horizon engaged Lehman Daman to convert an existing portion of their facility into new classrooms and offices.

CHALLENGES

Once construction began, L/D worked collaboratively with Horizon to address issues quickly. Upon discovering existing issues with the above ceiling, L/D helped design the reconfiguration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to keep the project on schedule and on budget.

In addition, there was a material delay on doors that threatened the project timeline. L/D managed to work with the supplier to get the order expedited and installed on time.

Since completion, the L/D Service Division has continued to serve Horizon, helping to address small issues and fixes on an as-needed basis.
