OVERVIEW
Ice Miller, a tenant of Nationwide Realty Investors (NRI), sought to create a more functional and welcoming environment for both clients and employees at its Arena District office. Occupying three floors - Levels 5, 6, and 7 - Ice Miller partnered with Lehman Daman to modernize its workspace.
The renovation included updates to conference rooms, private offices, and common areas, with Level 7 undergoing the most significant transformation with the addition of a new client café.
CHALLENGES
With Ice Miller’s office located in the heart of the Arena District, the project presented logistical challenges. To efficiently move materials into the office, Lehman Daman utilized crane lifts, requiring a temporary shutdown of a nearby one-way street. Coordinating with the City of Columbus and NRI, Lehman Daman carefully planned the closure and communicated the shutdown weeks in advance to help minimize disruption to building tenants.
Also, given the office’s proximity to Nationwide Arena and the area’s high foot traffic, strict safety measures were implemented through this process to protect the public while construction activities took place.
Lehman Daman successfully delivered this project on budget and five (5) weeks ahead of schedule, enabling Ice Miller to serve their clients in their new space.
