OVERVIEW

Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) saw an opportunity to expand its specialized care when it took over an existing endocrinology practice in Worthington, OH. To better serve their patients, NCH required renovations to modernize the outdated space and accommodate their growing patient network.

CHALLENGES

Lehman Daman had a short timeframe to complete the project, which included navigating the holiday season. With subcontractors’ availability impacted by the holidays, effective scheduling and communication were key to keeping the project on track. In the last two weeks of the project, every subcontractor was on-site, working simultaneously in areas to ensure timely completion.

The IT/telecom room was the most critical aspect of the project, as it is needed to b up and running well before the clinic opened. This room was is essential for securely storing patient documentation and supporting the clinic’s operations. Ensuring the IT infrastructure was ready early involved close communication and coordination with NCH’s network team to meet this priority without disrupting the rest of the project.
