Zen Noodle
OVERVIEW
Penn Entertainment first introduced Zen Noodle, a fast-casual restaurant serving Asian cuisine, to Hollywood Casino Columbus in 2015. Seeking to expand food and beverage options to meet the tastes of their diverse customer base, Penn Entertainment needed to relocate Zen Noodle and open a new eatery in its place.
Lehman Daman was hired to complete the buildout of Zen Noodle’s new space, as well as upgrading and expanding the High Limit Tables Game Area, High Limit Slots Area, and Baccarat, which are located nearby.
CHALLENGES
With casinos operating 24/7 and construction occurring around patrons, L/D ensured their safety by setting up a temporary barrier around the jobsite to keep construction activities separated. L/D also worked closely with Hollywood Casino Columbus to coordinate deliveries and minimize disruption.
Additionally, Penn Entertainment faced long material lead times, specifically for kitchen equipment and a new make-up air unit. L/D worked closely with Penn Entertainment, subcontractors, and suppliers, to understand lead times and recommend substitutions when necessary to keep the project on schedule.
