A blanket may seem simple, but for a child in foster care, it can provide comfort, security, and a reminder that someone cares. That meaningful mission brought the Lehman Daman team together with My Very Own Blanket for its “Wrapped in Hope” Gala.
As an event sponsor, we were grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the work this Westerville nonprofit does to support children and teens in the foster care system.
One of the highlights of the evening was helping create no-sew fleece blankets that will eventually be placed in the hands of children in foster care. Taking part in this activity offered a hands-on connection to the organization’s mission and a reminder of how a simple gesture can make a meaningful difference.
The gala was also an opportunity to recognize the people and dedication behind My Very Own Blanket’s work, bringing supporters together around a shared commitment to children in foster care.
Our partnership with My Very Own Blanket extends beyond the gala. Following the organization’s purchase of a new property at 17 W. Schrock Road in Westerville earlier this summer, Lehman Daman’s Service Division has been renovating the space as the nonprofit prepares for its next chapter. We are grateful for the opportunity to support this transition and contribute to a space that will give hope and security for the youth, families, and caseworkers impacted by foster care.
