Pickle with Purpose, presented by Lehman Daman, is a community-driven rally for good. By harnessing the energy of pickleball, we unite people to champion local causes and uplift those who need it most in our communities This year, our 2nd Annual Pickle with Purpose Charity Event brought together community, competition, and compassion to support an incredible cause: Pilot Dogs, a local non-profit organization empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired to live more independently.
Why it Matters
Across the United States, more than 54,000 blind or visually impaired teens lack access to vital resources that help them navigate life with confidence. Pilot Dogs is stepping up to close that gap with Camp M.O.V.E. (Mobility, Opportunity, Venture, Explore), a completely free, week long summer program launching July 20, 2026. Designed for teens ages 14 to 17, Camp M.O.V.E. provides specialized orientation and mobility training, plus guide dog readiness - one of only three programs of its kind in the country!
Rallying for a Great Cause
To make Camp M.O.V.E. a reality, we brought the community together for Pickle with Purpose and the response was incredible! Over 120 attendees and 40+ teams turned friendly competition into meaningful change. Pickle with Purpose was able to raise approximately $40,000, funding 25 scholarships for blind/visually impaired teens. This success belongs to every player, sponsor, and supporter who stepped up for a great cause.
