Last night, we had the privilege of celebrating the amazing 38 year long career of Dave Keith.
Dave is exactly what a construction superintendent should be. Dave lives our values of safety, teamwork, culture, and regard for people. He is extremely knowledgeable about the construction process, he is not afraid to make a decision, he has a positive attitude, he adapts, he speaks up, he communicates well, his customers adore him, he takes control of his projects, he plans, he makes the project managers and project engineers successful, he helps out the architects, he is patient, he is great with subcontractors and inspectors, he is strong at technology, and most importantly, Dave always looks for solutions if a problem arises. Another value we have is taking "ownership" of our work - meaning to tackle issues head on and do everything we can to solve issues for our customers - and no one does this better than Dave.
Dave has a skill set, mentality, and attitude that has been instrumental in enabling our company to grow and diversify. What's even more amazing is that Dave is so willing to work with our younger and less experienced folks so they can develop these same skills. Truly, anyone that works with him learns something. He has made us all so much better! We can go on and on about Dave and how wonderful he has been to not only Lehman Daman, our customers, employees, and trade partners, but also to the entire commercial business community in Central Ohio. Dave has been responsible for tens of millions of dollars in construction projects. His buildings have been used to facilitate the growth of other businesses which creates opportunities for their employees. He has helped entrepreneurs and business owners fulfill their dreams. His buildings are where young people get educated and sick people are treated. And almost everything in between.
We are thrilled that Dave has chosen to retire from Lehman Daman and we hope he gets to enjoy the fruits of his many years of labor. Dave Keith embodies our definition of success. We will miss him deeply, but also couldn't be more excited for him and his family as they embark on their next adventure!
