Lehman Daman delivered a 19,000 SF ground-up school addition and renovations for ACPA, expanding the campus to support a new middle school despite permitting delays.

Project Overview

Arts & College Preparatory Academy (ACPA), a charter school for mid-Ohio high school students, was looking to expand their facility to add a middle school. Having secured a full enrollment for Fall 2019, ACPA contracted Lehman Daman to build a 19,000 square foot ground-up addition, which also required renovating portions of the existing building to tie in the new structure.

Project Challenges

Permitting issues with the city delayed the start by 3 months. Instead of starting in the summer, before the new school year and with good weather, construction started in the fall. Lehman Daman was able to successfully adjust the schedule and navigate working around active school days and winter conditions to complete the project in time for the 2019 school year. Strict safety and site logistics plans minimized disruptions to the ACPA learning environment and ensured student safety.

Since completion, the Lehman Daman Service Division has continued to serve the ACPA facilities team, helping to address small issues and fixes on an as-needed basis.
