Memorial Health provides primary, specialized, and emergency care services to over 94,000 residents in Union County and five surrounding counties. To improve patient access and support staff recruitment, they needed to relocate their off-campus urology practice by converting an existing occupational therapy office at the hospital into a dedicated urology space.

Project Challenges

As a full-service hospital, Memorial Health operates 24/7 to deliver comprehensive and quality care to patients. The project was situated near an oncology practice and sleep lab, where maintaining a quiet environment was crucial due to the sensitive nature of the care provided. Lehman Daman carefully scheduled construction activities to minimize noise and disruption.

Additionally, to facilitate parking improvements, a quarter of the road that encircles the hospital needed to be temporarily closed. Lehman Daman worked closely with both the hospital and local fire department to redirect ambulance routes and post signage, ensuring effective traffic management during critical response times.
